1. The old city

This is the main attraction of Budva. Medieval flavor, narrow cobblestone streets, old buildings made of stone - all this will not leave you indifferent. There are also many viewing platforms with beautiful views.

2. The Citadel

It is located in the old town. Find it is not difficult: choose any narrow street, it will certainly lead you to the goal. Inside there are several buildings, a library, a restaurant with a terrace. There is also an observation deck with magnificent panoramic views of the sea and the island of St. Nicholas.

3. Budva sculpture

The sculpture, as they say here, ballerinas or gymnasts, has become the hallmark of the city. A picturesque path along the rocks leads to it. It starts at the Avala Hotel and leads to the beaches of Mogren. By the way, the sculpture has a real prototype - the Serbian gymnast Olga Kalivoda.

4. Church of Santa Maria in Punta ("on the cape")

The church is located next to the Citadel - it is the oldest church in Budva. It was erected by Benedictine monks in the XNUMXth century.

5. Church of St. John

This is a catholic church. It was built in the XNUMXth century and is the architectural dominant of the city.

6. Church of the Holy Trinity

This is an Orthodox church, built in 1804 at the request of believers. It is distinguished by the typical Byzantine style and monumentality of the structure.

7. Archaeological Museum

The Budva City Museum was opened in 1962, its collection covers the period from the XNUMXth century BC. e. until the beginning of the XNUMXth century.

8. St. Nicholas Island (local Hawaii)

The island of St. Nicholas got its name thanks to the church of the XVI century. Locals often call it Hawaii. To get to the island, you need to take one of the boats regularly running between Budva and the island.

9. Gallery of modern art

The gallery was created in 1972. She gathered under her roof the canvases of famous painters both from Montenegro and from the former Yugoslavia.

The library of Budva, organized 140 years ago, today stores more than 60 volumes, and is one of the richest book collections in Montenegro.
