615 objects legalized in Montenegro this year

Ministry of Ecology, Spatial Planning and Urbanism the preparation of a new draft law on territorial planning and construction has begun, which means that amendments will be made to the decree on the legalization of illegally built objects.

Legalization process illegally constructed facilities are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the current legislation.

The ministry also states that a significant number of properties were not built in accordance with the parameters and / or guidelines of the project documentation, while the plan for some territories has not yet been adopted or is invalid, so the legalization process had to be interrupted until the relevant planning document is adopted.

“Considering the overall situation, significant progress has been made in this regard, especially considering the number of requests submitted and processed,” they say.

According to official data, in December last year, 52 requests for legalization were filed, 303 were processed and, as a result, 45 objects were legalized. This year the process practically stopped, 000 requests were submitted, of which 1185 were processed and, finally, 697 objects were legalized. This indicates that the proposals of the Association of Municipalities of Montenegro were justified, since it was its representatives who spoke in favor of amendments to this law.
