In Montenegro, due to covid, the mask regime was again introduced in stores and pharmacies

Director of the Institute of Public Health Igor Galich saidthat over the next 14 days, from July 29 to August 12, the mask regime will operate. The new measures include the mandatory wearing of masks in all public administration and public institutions: shops, pharmacies, gas stations, etc.

Previously, it was recommended to wear masks at airports and buildings of railway stations and bus stations. Now this is a mandatory requirement.

The authorities took such measures due to a sharp increase in the number of coronavirus infections. During the day, 944 new cases were detected. There are currently 6398 active cases in the country.

If the above measures do not lead to an improvement in the epidemiological situation in the coming period and the upward trend in morbidity and mortality rates continues with an increase in the number of hospitalization requests, Galich warns that the mandatory wearing of protective masks will be mandatory in all enclosed spaces.

The virus is more contagious, but with milder symptoms and a milder clinical picture. Nevertheless, the director of the Institute of Public Health urges citizens to be vaccinated and revaccinate. According to him, of the total number of deaths from the pandemic, 72 percent were not vaccinated.
