According to the Statistical Office Monstate, the average gross earnings in August 2022 in Montenegro was 886 euros, and the average salary excluding taxes and contributions (net) was 718 euros.
"Average (net) wage in August 2022, compared to July 2022, recorded an increase of 0,6%, and the average (net) salary in August 2022, compared to the same month of the previous year, recorded an increase of 35%,” Monstat said in a statement.
If we take into account that consumer prices in August 2022 compared to July 2022 recorded an increase of 0,2%, then real wages for the same period recorded an increase of 0,4%.
