Montenegro's accession to the EU is supported by 76% of the population

Membership of Montenegro in EC supported by the vast majority of citizens, but according to public opinion polls, the enthusiasm for European integration in Albania is the highest. On the other hand, Serbian citizens expressed the least support for the region's EU membership, reports RTCG.

The percentage of support is the same in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they share the third place in the region after Albania and Kosovo.

Comparing the polls in candidate countries and potential candidates, one can see that the support of the citizens of the region is even greater in Kosovo than in Montenegro.

According to the DFC, 76 percent of Montenegrin citizens support EU membership. In Albania, this support is at 97 percent, and in Kosovo it is 93 percent.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, 76 percent of citizens support membership, and in North Macedonia, 74 percent of citizens support EU accession.

According to polls, EU membership in Serbia is supported by 34 percent of citizens.
