According to the Tax and Customs Administration of Montenegro, the highest monthly gross salary, paid in the country from the beginning of 2022 to the end of September, amounted to 116 euros.
This amount, which includes taxes and labor contributions, was paid to a foreigner employed in the field of entertainment and recreation. This is 131 average gross salaries, which, according to the statistical office Monstat, have fluctuated between 875 and 887 euros since the beginning of this year.
The highest salary in the IT field
An IT employee received the second highest gross salary in Montenegro since the beginning of the year. In March, he was paid 115 euros.
In the meantime, bank employees are among the highest paid workers in Montenegro, so five of the ten highest monthly incomes are paid in the field of money intermediation.
An employee of one of the 11 banks operating in the Montenegrin market received the third highest gross salary since the beginning of the year in the amount of 99 euros.
A thousand euros less was received by his colleague, whose gross earnings are in fifth place and amount to 98 euros. A banker with a monthly gross income of 321 euros received slightly less, which is the seventh highest salary. In eighth position is the salary of a banker in the amount of 88 euros, and in the ninth position is the gross income of a banker, which amounted to 878 euros.
The sixth position was taken by an employee in the field of passenger air transportation, he was paid 93 euros for the month. It is assumed that this is a severance pay or bonus.
The tenth highest gross salary from January to the end of September was earned by a worker in business-related consulting. This consultant received €67 based on remuneration for work, taxes and contributions.
According to Monstate, the highest paid workers in Montenegro are in finance and insurance.
