Becici is a small picturesque town in Montenegro on the Adriatic coast. It is located 2 km from the popular tourist town of Budva.
Becici is preferred by married couples with or without children. As well as older people and anyone who appreciates the clean sea, peace and quiet. The city is unlikely to appeal to young people who are looking for noisy parties with music until the morning.
One of the main advantages of this Montenegrin resort is its wide sandy beach, almost 2 km long. In 1935, it was even recognized as the best in Europe at an international competition in Paris. Today, the city beach in Becici is marked with a blue flag – a prestigious sign of environmental cleanliness. A significant part of the beach is covered with sand, which is very rare for Montenegro. Most of the beaches in the country are pebbly.
People come to Becici to enjoy the sea, the beach and the mild climate. There are no major attractions in the town. When tourists look for what to see in Becici in Montenegro, the only option is the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, which is still in operation. This is a preserved ancient church, built in the 14th century. It is located on a hill, to which steps lead directly from the embankment. Visitors note the pleasant atmosphere, beautiful green area around the temple and the absence of a large number of people, which contributes to peace.
On the other side of Becici, about 5 kilometers away, is the famous closed island of Sveti Stefan. The walking path to it along the sea is very beautiful and picturesque. Near the island is the Royal Park and a beach that will not leave you indifferent.
The population of Becici is about 1 thousand people. Tourists choose this resort for visiting for several reasons. Firstly, there is a developed infrastructure: many hotels, cafes and restaurants. Secondly, comfortable weather, clean sandy beach. And most importantly - reasonable prices and peace.
