Hotel and Residence Montis is located in Kolasin, the most lively mountain town in Montenegro, a popular summer and winter tourist destination.

Kolašin is located at an altitude of 954 meters on a plateau between two magnificent mountain ranges – Bjelasica and Sinjajevina. Isolated from the busy traffic on the main Kolašin-Mojkovac road and just a 15-minute walk from the town center, this site is ideally situated amidst lush emerald forest and basked in a healthy mountain breeze.

The country's largest investment project is a new highway connecting Kolašin with the capital, Podgorica, scheduled for completion in 2021, reducing travel time between the two by less than 30 minutes. Along with Žabljak, Kolašin is one of two winter sports destinations in the country, and is currently undergoing rapid infrastructure development. The town's existing ski area is the first in the country to offer modern winter sports facilities. Currently, the Kolašin ski resort boasts 46 km of ski slopes. An additional 15 km are expected to be built by the end of 2021, with plans to expand to 125 km or more in the near future.

Direct views of the Bjelasica mountain range, secluded and unspoiled nature have largely influenced the architecture of the hotel. The architectural idea was to create a new benchmark for contemporary design, matching the context of the mountainous region. The hotel's large conference room accommodating up to 400 visitors is complemented by two small conference rooms with a capacity of 50 seats. In addition to the city's cultural amenities, the hotel has a fully equipped 3D cinema that seats up to 72 visitors. In addition to the cinema, the hotel's 120-seat pub is also dedicated to daily guests. As a unique design element above most of the ground floor, there is a hotel "square" for various types of cultural, entertainment or private hotel events, a meeting point and city garden for hotel guests, an elevated platform with beautiful views of the Tara River and the lush Bjelasica massif.
