The highest mark (category K1) was awarded to 89% of recreation areas. Water samples were taken by the Institute of Marine Biology at the end of May.
In the municipality of Kotor, out of 15 beaches, K2 category received three beaches: “Benovo”, “Zuta” (Žuta) and lounge area by the bar Pirate.
Four were assigned to three beaches in Tivat: by the hotel Palma de Mallorcaat the hotel "Camellia" (Kamelija) in the village of Donja Lastva and "Almara" in the bay Oblatno. The remaining six recreation areas that have passed the test are awarded the highest rating.
On the Herceg Novi Riviera, only one beach received the K2 category - at the hotel Club Hotel Riviera in Njivice - on the other twenty - high quality water.
Three recreation areas on the Ulcinj Riviera are assigned four: Toni Grill, Miami and at the former hotel Lido. All are located on the Great Beach. Fives are awarded here 13 recreation areas.
On the Bar Riviera, all 12 beaches correspond to the highest category.
And on the Budva Riviera, there is only a recreation area near the hotel Maestral got a four. The remaining 26 beaches have excellent grades.
