New prices for taxi services will begin to operate next year. The initial cost of the trip is expected to be between 0,50 and 1 euro.
“The decision on taxi services provides that entrepreneurs and legal entities must submit a new price list to the Ministry of Transport within 6 months,” said Lazarela Kalezić, Minister of Transport.
In addition, it is expected that the program for organizing a taxi trip in the territory of Podgorica will be checked by the mayor, Ivan Vukovich.
There are currently 966 registered taxi cars in Podgorica.
“For Podgorica this is a lot. The capital should find a model to reduce the number of vehicles. Taxi drivers who decide to resign, or those who resign, should not give up their licenses to anyone else. It is difficult to say what the optimal number of taxi cars will be. In any case, they should be an alternative to public transport, ”said Kalezić.
