At the Intergovernmental Conference, Montenegro opens the last chapter in the negotiations on accession to the European Union (EU).
On this day, eight years ago, the EU began negotiations with Montenegro. On the occasion of the eighth anniversary of negotiations with the EU, the main negotiator Aleksandar Drlevich said that Montenegro has achieved great results in cooperation with the EU and that it is now important to show that our institutions and our legislative framework are absolutely functional. After the official opening of the last chapter, Drlevich added, the Brussels administration has shown that the expansion policy remains active in these difficult times, when we all face the coronavirus pandemic.
