Montenegro re-announced coronavirus epidemic

The Montenegrin authorities have decided to re-declare the coronavirus epidemic throughout the country. Several new provisional measures are being introduced as of today. Their goal is to further prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

New measures for Montenegro

The wearing of protective masks outdoors and indoors is compulsory throughout Montenegro, including children over 7 years old, with the exception of beaches and national parks. It is also important to maintain social distance.

Outdoor gatherings are permitted for up to 40 people, and indoors for up to 20 people. Moreover, in both cases, it is necessary to maintain a social distance of at least two meters. However, this requirement does not apply to residential buildings.

Also, until August 6, there is a ban on the work of nightclubs and discos. Private celebrations are not permitted: weddings, graduations, birthday parties. Until July 30, there is a ban on music and entertainment programs in restaurants, cafes and beach bars.

The work of catering establishments on the coast is allowed up to 24 hours.

Permits for temporary residence and work of foreigners, which have expired, have been renewed. They are now considered valid until October 7, 2020.

Coronavirus infection statistics

Over the past day, another 98 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed. 39 people recovered. However, not a single death was recorded.

Currently, there are 1 active cases of coronavirus infection, or 920 cases per 305 people.
