Catering establishments in Budva, Cetinje, Kolasin, Ulcinj and Zabljak will be closed from Monday, October 19. Kindergartens and schools will be transferred to distance learning. This was announced by the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro.

According to them, the epidemiological situation in these municipalities has worsened, as the level of COVID-19 infection in them has exceeded 800 per 100 thousand people. This means that the aforementioned municipalities now belong to Group-3 (red). Therefore, there will be more stringent restrictions for the next 14 days.

The institute states that there are no municipalities with infection rates exceeding 1 per 200 inhabitants. However, they do not expect them to appear, as this would mean the introduction of a ban on movement from 100 to 22 in the morning.

“The cumulative incidence in Podgorica is currently 792,7 per 100 inhabitants. The decision to introduce stricter restrictions in the capital will be made after statistical processing of all samples sent to Germany, ”added the Institute.
