Montenegro introduces new measures due to the epidemic situation

The National Coordinating Authority (NCO) for Infectious Diseases has introduced new quarantine measures. The NGO decided to reduce the opening hours of shops, cafes and restaurants. The working hours are reduced by two hours and the curfew period is extended by the same time.

The shops will work from 7:00 to 18:00. The curfew will now be from 19:00 pm to 5:00 am the next day. The measures will apply from November 25 to December 8. In addition, the action is saved all previous measures.

The National Coordinating Body for Infectious Diseases urges citizens to fully comply with all measures, because this is the only way to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

“Given the current situation, our health care system, thanks to good planning, timely action, expertise and casualties of health workers, is still able to withstand the pandemic, despite the worrying rate of infection,” the NGO said in a statement.

Over the past 1953 hours, 570 tests were carried out in Montenegro. Of these, 596 are new cases of coronavirus infection. In addition, 6 people recovered and 11 died. The total number of infected people in the country is 111 people.
