It will take two hours to get from Belgrade to the Montenegrin border

From January next year, citizens will be able to get from Belgrade to Zlatibor in just an hour and 45 minutes, because one of the most difficult tasks - breaking the tunnel in Trbusani - was realized.

The hope that this deadline will not be exceeded is due to the fact that the construction of the bridge across the West Morava, which is located at the confluence of Kamenica and this river, is coming to an end. And this is one of the key moments associated with the completion of the detour around the village of Chachak.

In other words, the prevailing distrust that Chinese construction company will complete this 30-kilometer section a year ahead of schedule has been eliminated.

From Belgrade to the Montenegrin border - in just 2,5 hours

In practice, this means that next summer, citizens who go on vacation to Montenegro by car should get to the Adriatic coast much faster. This road will be further shortened in the coming years when the remaining 107 kilometers of road infrastructure from Pozega to Bolyar are completed, reducing travel time from Belgrade to the Montenegrin border from the current six to just two and a half hours.

The builders who are building the road from Prelina to Pozega say they do not know when the state will start implementing these 107 kilometers, but they know for sure that neither difficult weather conditions nor problems with geology have extended this path.

The director of the Chinese company, Zhang Xiaoyuan, has promised that the construction of the highway from Prelina to Pozega will be completed no later than Christmas 2022.

The construction of the bridge across the West Morava is also ongoing, which is located at the confluence of Kamenica and this river, in the immediate vicinity of the Pakovrač loop. At the moment, the construction of the bridge is 80 percent complete, and work is proceeding at the planned pace. Its length is 336 meters and it has ten spans, and the largest is 36 meters.
