EU will allocate 600 million euros for investments in the economies of the Western Balkans

The European Union plans to provide another 600 million euros in financing in accordance with its economic and investment plan for the Western Balkans by the end of 2021, said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

“This year, the plan has already allocated 500 million euros, and I am pleased to announce that since the project is progressing so well, we can provide another 600 million euros for this year,” said von der Leyen.

“A total of 9 billion euros were available for financing, but another 20 billion euros could be used as investments,” said the EU chief executive.
