Montenegro Environmental Protection Fund offers citizens and companies three more subsidies in the amount of five thousand euros for the purchase electric car.
"As part of a public tender for the purchase of electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, subsidy agreements have been signed with 20 users for the purchase of hybrid vehicles, and a grant agreement has been signed with seven users for the purchase of electric vehicles," the statement says. statement.
As part of this public appeal, published at the end of January this year, the Eco-Fund provided grants of 100 thousand euros.
“Of these, 50 thousand euros was allocated to subsidize the purchase of hybrids, and 50 thousand euros - to subsidize the purchase of electric vehicles. The Eco-Fund subsidized the purchase of a hybrid car in the amount of 2,5 thousand euros, and the subsidy for the purchase of an electric car is five thousand euros, ”the Eco-Fund said.
Purpose of Electric Vehicle Subsidy
The purpose of the public appeal, as added, is to directly encourage the acquisition of an environmentally friendly mode of transport as part of the implementation of measures to improve air quality and the environment.
“In order to conserve, sustainably use, protect and improve the environment, improve energy efficiency and use renewable sources and energy, it is important to encourage the purchase of environmentally friendly vehicles.
“By co-financing the purchase of electric and hybrid vehicles, we will directly influence the improvement of air quality, as well as the reduction of sources of air pollution, that is, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from road traffic in Montenegro,” the statement said.
Individuals are eligible for a subsidy to buy one car, while companies and entrepreneurs can buy a maximum of two.
