At a press conference, Minister of Health Elena Borovinich-Boyovich announced new measures that will take effect next week:
- the border can be crossed with the EU COVID certificate;
- the work of fitness centers and gyms is allowed;
- It is recommended that school classes begin on January 31st.

She noted that the arrangements gave results.

Borovinic Bozovic also indicated that the new measures will be in effect for the next seven days (January 13-19), and the most important change compared to the previous measures concerns the conditions for crossing the Montenegrin borders.

New measures and rules for entry into Montenegro

“In the next seven days, it will be possible to cross borders only if at least one of the four conditions of the EU digital COVID certificate is met:
- if the person is fully vaccinated with the specified number of doses of the coronavirus vaccine and that more than six months have passed since the last dose of the vaccine was received;
- negative PCR test for SARS-Cov-2 not older than 72 hours;
- negative rapid test for antigen not older than 48 hours;
- proof that the person survived COVID-19 (at least 10 days and no more than six months have passed since the positive PCR result or rapid antigen test), ”the minister explained.
