In 2018, the national economy of Montenegro grew by 5%

Montenegro's GDP reached 4,66 billion euros, compared with 4,3 billion euros a year earlier, according to the statistical agency Monstat.

For comparison: the growth rate of Russian GDP in 2018 was significantly lower - 2,3% (Rosstat data).

In 2018, the gross domestic product per capita in Montenegro increased to 7 euros, in 495 - 2017 euros.

This year, the Montenegrin Central Bank predicts a decrease in the growth rate of the national economy to 3%. However, the national debt will increase - up to 78% of GDP. In 2020, it is expected to decline to 71% of GDP, the World Bank notes.
