Improvement of the embankment was launched as part of the first stage - near the post office. Their cost is estimated at 95 thousand euros.
The contractor is Incom from Podgorica. She will carry out excavation work, installing curbs, benches and trash cans. It is also planned to build a pedestrian bridge over the Savichich-potok stream. The work should be completed in 50 days.
In the second stage, landscaping and installation of lighting systems are expected. About 400 varieties of various Mediterranean plants will be planted on the boulevard. The contract for the production of works in the conclusion stage.
However, as previously reported, the improvement is temporary. Last year, the authorities announced an international competition for the development of an architectural concept for a new look for Shetalishte, as this walking area is called. The reconstruction will cover the entire promenade - from the Old Town in Budva to the village of Rafailovichi. The project cost is estimated from 10 to 12 million euros.
Throughout the embankment, squares and other public spaces will be created, lawns will be broken, trees and shrubs will be planted. Work was scheduled to begin this fall.
