Quarantine mitigations: small and medium-sized businesses will begin work on May 4

Already in early May, small and medium-sized businesses can start working in Montenegro, and in the second half of the month - catering and service organizations. Berths will also be open to receive all ships. Prime Minister of Montenegro Dusko Markovic informed the representatives of the tourism industry.

We want to keep any work in the field of tourism. The government will help workers directly. Tourism is not only a sector, but also a powerful market tool for our economic and monetary stability. Therefore, we will put this at the forefront of our economic measures and will soon come up with a solution on how to support the preservation of our companies and entrepreneurs in the tourism sector, as well as jobs, allocating about five million euros from the budget, ”Markovich said.

 

Quarantine Mitigation:

Recall that on April 21, the Government of Montenegro introduced the first relief measures to combat the spread of coronavirus. Easing touched on curfews and shop hours. Now you can be on the street until 23:00 (previously - until 19:00 on weekdays, until 13:00 on Saturday and until 11:00 on Sunday). Shops are open as usual from 7:00 am to 22:00 pm from Monday to Saturday.

Also, the national coordinating council allowed individual outdoor sports while observing the distance. In addition, residents of Tuzi can now travel to neighboring Podgorica. Previously, due to an outbreak of coronavirus, entry and exit from the village was prohibited.

All other restrictive measures are retained. The government requests that they be taken seriously and strictly.

 

Statistics of infected COVID-19:

To date, the total number of coronavirus infected in Montenegro is 316 people. 2176 residents of the country are under medical supervision. 116 people recovered.
