Montenegrin authorities propose to open borders for tourists from Russia

The Ministry of Tourism of Montenegro has sent a proposal to the national coordination council under the government to open the borders for Russian tourists.

The official letter says that the demand for travel to Montenegro from Russia is very high and that travel agents regularly receive applications from their Russian counterparts.

In order to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the travel industry, whose turnover fell to 2020% in the 96 summer season, the ministry calls on the authorities to take this step.

As a reminder, since July, citizens of Ukraine and Belarus have been allowed to fly to Montenegro. Earlier, the authorities reported that flights could be allowed for Russian citizens from August 1.
