Montenegro has received the international label Safe travels

The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has awarded Montenegro the international safe travel mark - Safe travles.

It is a specially designed sign that allows passengers to identify destinations and companies around the world that have adopted global health and hygiene standards as an important prerequisite for safe travel during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Protocols and security measures adopted by the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro in cooperation with competent institutions in the field of tourism to make the stay of tourists in this country as pleasant as possible and to protect the health of tourists, in accordance with the global WTTC protocols.

“Since the implementation and adherence of medical measures is imperative around the world, we expect that through this initiative there will be more intensive cooperation between the private and public sector in terms of protecting the health of tourists and gaining their trust, which will help to restore tourism,” said the director National Tourism Organization of Montenegro elka Radak Kukavicic.

Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine and Turkey are also holders of the “Safe travels” mark in Europe. In addition, 20 more countries in the United States, Africa, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region.
