The Constitutional Court will consider the case to cancel the non-working Sunday

The case for the cancellation of non-working Sunday, which has been in effect for retail and wholesale trade since October 20 last year, is still pending in the Constitutional Court.

The initiative to remove this provision from the Internal Trade Law was filed in a higher court by the Employers' Union in September last year.

During the year, market inspectors identified 15 cases of violations of the law. The total amount of fines imposed is 13 euros. According to the employees of the Office for Inspections, they were all recovered.

The amount of the fine for a legal entity is 1000 euros, and for an entrepreneur - 300 euros.

Inspectors found the largest number of violations in Budva - five cases. The total amount of the fine was 5100 euros. Niksic received two fines totaling 2400 euros. Podgorica - two fines in the amount of 1500 euros.

Inspectors in Ulcinj, Danilovgrad and Kotor imposed a fine of 1200 euros in each municipality. Shops in Berane, Tuzi and Herceg Novi were fined 300 euros each.

“Most of the violations were found in the markets and shops selling drinks with discounts,” the administration said.

They stressed that they constantly monitor the work of the stores to this day.
