Montenegro to receive Chinese vaccine at the end of January

Montenegro will receive the Sinopharm (China) vaccine at the end of January. This was agreed during a meeting between senior representatives of this company CNFG (China National Pharmaceutical Group) and Minister of Health Elena Borovinich Bojovich.

The minister thanked the Chinese partners for the promptness and attentiveness that they showed during the intensive negotiations in the previous period. As a result of the negotiations, a final agreement was reached that Sinopharm should deliver a sufficient amount of vaccine to Montenegro as soon as possible.

“Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health is in the final phase of bilateral negotiations with other coronavirus vaccine companies. Still adhering to the previously stated position, Montenegro will begin vaccination of citizens against COVID with a vaccine that has a European certificate, that is, the Pfizer vaccine, ”the ministry said.

The effectiveness of the Sinopharm vaccine is, depending on the report, from 80 to 86 percent. This is a classic vaccine made according to the old principle. This means that it is made from a dead virus.
