Changes in quarantine measures in Montenegro

The Commission for the Protection of Citizens from Coronavirus, at the suggestion of the Institute of Public Health of Montenegro, made a change in quarantine measures. Now, in addition to Budva and Tivat, it is prohibited to leave the following municipalities: Podgorica, Cetinje, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Niksic and Pluzine.

At the same time, restaurants are opening again in Danilovgrad, Bar and Tuzi.

Changes to quarantine measures come into force on March 1. Other measures remain unchanged.

Over the past day, 13 people have died from the effects of the coronavirus. The oldest of them is 84 years old. During the same period, 449 new cases were reported. 484 patients have recovered. The total number of currently active cases of COVID-19 in Montenegro is 8558, which is 1358 per hundred thousand inhabitants.

Since the beginning of the epidemic (March 2020), the total number of reported cases of COVID-19 in Montenegro is 76.
