According to the expectations of the Minister of Capital Investments of Montenegro, Mladen Bojanic, the new Montenegrin airline To Montenegro (Air Montenegro) will start operating its first flights on the route Podgorica - Belgrade and Tivat - Belgrade in June 2021.
At a joint press conference with his Serbian counterpart Tomislav Momirovic in Belgrade, Bojanic said that these two lines proved to be the most economically viable and most useful in terms of economic cooperation between Serbia and Montenegro.
“You know that we had a problem with our national airline Montenegro Airlines (MA), which could no longer function financially. Whatever the obligations, we will redirect them to ourselves and quickly resolve them, ”Bojanic said.
In addition, at a regular meeting, the government of Montenegro decided to pay out money in the amount of three million euros to the new national airline ToMontenegro.
It was emphasized at the meeting that the company will use the approved funds to create the necessary conditions for the normal functioning of the company in order to start its activities as soon as possible.
