Nightclubs and discos are prohibited in Montenegro

Director of the Institute of Public Health Igor Galich at today's meeting press conferences reportedthat from tomorrow until August 2, the work of discos, night clubs in the open air and in closed rooms is temporarily prohibited. If the epidemiological situation is more favorable, according to him, the mentioned institutions will begin to work for those who were completely vaccinated or received the first dose. Also for those who have a negative PCR test or proof that they have had coronavirus (less than 180 days have passed since the positive PCR test). Indoor mass gatherings are prohibited.

At a press conference, Galich said that the epidemiological situation in Montenegro is still favorable, which was also stated by the World Health Organization.

The director of the Institute of Public Health recalls that the performance of live music in catering establishments was previously prohibited and requires consistent compliance with this measure.

“Live music can be performed on terraces and in open-air bars until midnight, subject to all other epidemiological measures being respected. However, if the tendency to violate this deadline continues and if live music continues to sound in public catering facilities, we will move from punishment to a ban on the performance and broadcast of music in general, ”warns Galich.

He reiterates his request for uncompromising adherence to prescribed epidemiological measures in order to avoid further, even broader restrictions.
