The Government of Montenegro, at its meeting on Thursday, accepted and published information containing a list of names that received a Montenegrin passport based on the economic citizenship program, as of May 25, 2022.
The list includes 409 foreign citizens who also received Montenegrin citizenship through investment.
The program started in 2020 and applicants for citizenship, in addition to the main criteria, which included a donation of 100 euros intended for the development of less developed areas in the north, and an investment of at least 000 euros in projects in the north or at least 250 to projects in the south, as well as an additional donation of 000 euros to the Innovation Fund.
This program has been criticized by the European Commission and will be completed by the end of this year.
