Delta City becomes BiG Podgorica

The largest shopping center in Montenegro Delta City in Podgorica changes its name to BiG Podgorica as a result recent change of ownership.

BiG Podgorica is already listed on Google Maps as the new name for Delta City, which was recently bought by the Israeli company BIG Shopping Centers for 95 million euros.

Recall that the Israeli company, as part of its expansion plans, intends to build and acquire new shopping centers in several Montenegrin cities.

There are also plans to take over the neighboring City Mall to create a unique retail park.

BIG CEE, part of the Israeli group Big Shopping Centers, has expressed interest in acquiring the City Mall in Podgorica after they recently bought the neighboring Delta City shopping center, the portal was told. Investor sources familiar with the process.

BiG's intention is to turn Delta and City Mall into a unique shopping park similar to the one they built a few years ago in Belgrade's Karaburma district.

City Mall is owned by the Podgorica company Čelebić, which is also engaged in the construction and sale of real estate.

This aspiration of the Israeli company is consistent with statements that it will not stop at Delta, for which they have allocated 95 million euros. According to Investors, BiG intends to acquire another large shopping center in Podgorica after City Mall, and then continue to invest in some other cities in Montenegro, including Niksic.

The so-called retail parks, which BIG plans to build in Montenegro, are a type of shopping centers, mainly located outside the central areas of the city. Basically, these are single-story buildings, without basements and floors, which consist of a number of separate workshops connected under the roof into a single whole, and each office space has a direct entrance from the external environment.

This unit is most often in the shape of the letter "p", which also consists of driveways with parking spaces and a plateau with green spaces and promenades along the entrance to the premises.
