The arrival of "Lucifer": the temperature in Montenegro breaks all records

Meteorologists announcedthat the abnormal heat called "Lucifer" will arrive in Montenegro on July 22 and will last for the next seven days. Temperatures are expected to reach 44 degrees, so Montenegro will become one of the hottest countries in Europe.

Extremely high temperature and drought are usually accompanied by fires.

Montenegro's defense and rescue system has modest firefighting resources, Radio Free Europe (RSE) acting director of Radio Free Europe (RSE) said. Miodrag Besovic, General Director of the Security and Rescue Directorate.

“But even with the resources we have, we will be up to the task and meet the challenges of the fire season. We need to invest in a protection and rescue system,” says director Bešović.

Information from the Hydrometeorological Institute shows that the drought is worse than in the previous ten years, indicating that the fire season could be severe.
