Prime Minister of Montenegro discussed the possibility of Saudi investment in the Western Balkans

Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazovich discussed with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman the possibility of Saudi investment in energy and tourism in the Western Balkans.

According to the portal Investor.me, Abazovich and Salman met in the Greek capital of Athens, where the Saudi prince was on an official visit. The meeting was attended by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and Italian Senate member Matteo Renzi.

According to the newspaper Podgorica daily, they discussed investments in the Western Balkans in the field of energy and tourism. Crown Prince Salman is one of the most powerful leaders in the world. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia already has certain agreements with Greece, and the Western Balkans is becoming one of the geostrategically important places in Europe.

Prince Salman's visit to Athens comes less than two weeks after US President Joe Biden's visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Bin Salman arrived in Athens with a delegation of 700 people on seven planes. One was allegedly equipped as a hospital. In a report detailing the crown prince's inclinations and excesses, the Greek news portal Iefimerida said the mission had requested 350 limousines. Demand exceeded supply so much that cars had to be imported from Bulgaria and Germany.

For his stay at the Four Seasons Hotel on the Athenian Riviera, 180 suitcases were sent containing clothes, shoes and other personal items.

“A few days ago, a special order came in for bulletproof glass, which was installed with a giant crane in the room, which bin Salman received,” Efimerida said on Wednesday.
