Thus, according to him, tourists will be able to plan their winter vacation and spend it in Montenegro. The ski resorts of Montenegro this season are still dependent on snowfall, they have no alternatives in the form of snow guns (snow cannons).
Winter tourist season: hotel packages
“A more active role of the state in encouraging winter tourism is needed, since investments in winter centers and infrastructure are huge,” Jovovich said.
“One of the incentives is the introduction of compulsory ski school for students in the winter. Thus, a positive effect will be achieved both for domestic tourism and for the health and development of children,” says Jovovich.
He states that the tourism economy of the north has invested heavily in preparing for the winter season, which has led to increased interest from tourists. And notes that the promotion of the winter season this year is carried out through a digital marketing campaign and participation in fairs.
As for the main winter centers of Zabljak and Kolasin, Jovovich believes that the price-quality ratio of the offer is competitive in the region, and hoteliers and restaurateurs have prepared a number of attractive price offers, especially during the New Year holidays.
“It is planned to open all hotels in Zabljak, as well as create package offers with ski resorts. For Kolasin, the big disadvantage is that the Four Points by Sheraton will not be open this year and in the upcoming winter season. Other hotels in Kolašin, as well as private hotels, have already prepared certain packages for the holidays and the winter season. In Kolašin, work is underway to improve the offer and quality of private accommodation, and seven new hotels are under development and construction,” emphasizes Jovovich.
