Motorways of Montenegro ready for the upcoming winter season, reported Traffic management. The Monteput company, which manages the track, noted that all the necessary preparations for the winter maintenance of the track have been made, and traffic on the track will be regular throughout the year.
“The main and regional roads are ready for the upcoming winter season. Unimpeded traffic is expected, with the exception of roads where the traffic regime has been changed due to construction work. On the roads where work is underway and where the traffic regime has been changed, drivers must follow the rules and observe the temporarily installed traffic lights, ”the Road Traffic Administration said.
The length of the main and regional roads administered by the Road Traffic Administration is 1 kilometers, which is taken care of by the company Crnagoraput. The Road Traffic Administration reminds that they have concluded a contract for the maintenance and protection of main and regional roads with Crnagoraput for a period of four years from 935 to 2019.
“The contract was concluded for the amount of 37,99 million euros. All the necessary preparations for the upcoming winter season have been made, in the previous period we had good mutual cooperation,” the Road Traffic Administration said.
The administration states that in the previous period, considerable financial resources were invested in the road infrastructure, so many roads were reconstructed and built.
Highways ready for winter
Monteput says the company has made all the necessary preparations for winter maintenance of the road. This includes acquiring the necessary machinery, facilities and equipment, hiring the required number of maintenance workers, and training them.
