The state company Croatian Highways (Hrvatske autoceste - HAC) plans to Enclose 1,3 billion euros to complete the entire highway to Dubrovnik (Croatia).

Until September 30 of this year, Croatian Highways must sign an agreement with ten Croatian banks on refinancing a debt in the amount of 1,572 billion euros, and with seven Croatian banks an agreement on a new loan for 600 million euros.

With this refinancing and the new debt, 1,350 billion euros will be secured to complete the construction of the highway from Metković to Dubrovnik and from Krizisce to Žuta Lokva, HAC explains. In addition, according to them, in the long term, about 35 million euros per year will be provided for the regular investment maintenance of roads and the operational activities of the company.

According to available information, the agreement with banks on refinancing and a new loan is coming to an end.

Croatian Highways currently owes 3,030 billion euros and according to the existing repayment plan, all loans should be repaid in 2030. In order to facilitate the repayment of loans, find funds for new investments and ensure the normal functioning of the company, it was agreed with banks that the repayment of loans would be extended until 2040.

As can be seen from the map of the state company Hrvatska autoceste (HAC), the southern part of the Dalmatina section ends above Dubrovnik, after the Osoynik interchange, and the designers provided for the continuation of the highway to Podgoritsy.
