The first president of Montenegro died in the 63rd year of life

Former President of Montenegro and Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Momir Bulatovich died in his 63rd year. He died of a heart attack in the village of Rachi near Podgorica. The funeral on July 2 will also take place here.

Momir Bulatovich was born on September 21, 1956 in Belgrade, studied at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro. In the late 1980s, he began work in youth organizations, later the struggle against the leadership of the Union of Communists of Yugoslavia began. In addition, he advocated for the protection of the Serbian population of Kosovo, reports RBC.

In 1989, he was elected chairman of the Presidium of the Union of Communists of Montenegro, and a year later he won the first multiparty elections and became the first president of Montenegro; held this post until 1998. Then, from 1998 to 2000, he was Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
