Demand for tours to Montenegro increased by 25%

In addition to Montenegro, the leaders in demand for tours are traditional for the high season destinations: Turkey, Cyprus, Greece, Spain, Italy, Thailand, Bulgaria.

Demand grew thanks to an extremely flexible pricing policy, which was carried out by both accommodation facilities abroad and tour operators. Nevertheless, in terms of profitability, the season was not as profitable as last year, reports ATOR.

“Profitability has not increased. Demand in the segment of outbound tourism continues to be in the trend of economy. Tourists shorten the duration of their holidays, take minimum additional local services, try to save on the accommodation facility, but without slipping to objects 2-3 *. They try to save on excursions, ”said Maya Lomidze.

“Tourists did not spend more. They spend the very minimum, which is necessary for a more or less comfortable stay. And such a general picture was on almost all summer outbound destinations in the tour operator segment. The increase of 10-15%, which we are talking about, is provided in the segment of the budget and lower levels of the middle product category. Enviable stability in the luxury tourism segment. The increase as a whole could have been even greater if the middle class had not finally gone to the budget segment, and budget tourists could afford to relax, ”said the executive director of ATOR.
