Current epidemiological measures in Montenegro

Epidemiological measures have been tightened in Bijelo Polje, Mojkovac and Niksic and eased in Budva and Tivat. About it said at today's press conference, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health Borko Bajic. The new measures will take effect from March 18 to 24.

The epidemiologist from the Institute of Public Health Maria Bozovic explained that the ban on entry and exit, which applies to residents of Podgorica, Cetinje, Budva, Tivat, Niksic, Pluzine, Herceg Novi, Ulcinj, Bar, Kotor and Pljevlja, applies to the municipalities of Bijelo Polje and Mojkovac.

Current epidemiological measures:

  1. The opening hours of restaurants, cafes and shops are from 7:00 to 20:00.
  2. Curfew from 21:00 to 5:00. An exception is walking pets, but no more than 60 minutes a day.
  3. It is forbidden to leave the following municipalities: Budva, Tivat, Podgorica, Cetinje, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Niksic, Pluzine, Kotor, Pljevlja, Ulcinj, Bar, Bijelo Polje. 
  4. Excursions, live music performances, children's playrooms, Ferris wheels and amusement parks are prohibited.
  5. Schools operate online, preschool institutions are closed.
  6. Wearing masks outdoors and indoors is mandatory. 

It's important: For Herceg Novi, Ulcinj and Niksic, restaurants, cafes, shopping centers, non-food stores, hairdressers and beauty salons, gyms and cinemas are prohibited.

Entry rules to Montenegro

Entry to Montenegro is allowed if there is a PCR test not older than 48 hours, or with a positive IgG antibody test not older than 30 days, or with proof vaccinated with a second dose at least seven days before entering Montenegro. These rules do not apply to travelers from Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.

Over the past day, 553 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered. 651 patients recovered. 18 people died, of which the youngest was 55, and the oldest was 90 years old. The total number of currently active cases of COVID-19 in Montenegro is 8, which is 581 cases per 1 thousand inhabitants.

5 citizens were vaccinated.
