Existing epidemiological measures extended in Montenegro

Current epidemiological measures have been extended 31 to March... Some toughenings have affected the municipalities of Berane and Shavnik.

Current epidemiological measures:

  1. The shops are open from 7:00 to 20:00.
  2. Curfew from 21:00 to 5:00. An exception is walking pets, but no more than 60 minutes a day.
  3. It is prohibited to leave the following municipalities: Budva, Tivat, Podgorica, Cetinje, Ulcinj, Herceg Novi, Niksic, Pluzine, Kotor, Pljevlja, Ulcinj, Bar, Bijelo Pole, Moikovac, Berane and Shavnik.
  4. Excursions, live music performances, children's playrooms, Ferris wheels and amusement parks are prohibited.
  5. Schools operate online.
  6. Wearing masks outdoors and indoors is mandatory. 

It's important: for municipalities Ulcinj, Niksic, Berane and Shavnik the work of restaurants, cafes, shopping centers, non-food stores, hairdressers and beauty salons, gyms and cinemas is prohibited.

Entry rules to Montenegro

Entry to Montenegro is allowed if there is a PCR test not older than 48 hours, or with a positive IgG antibody test not older than 30 days, or with proof vaccinated with a second dose at least seven days before entering Montenegro. These rules do not apply to travelers from Serbia, Kosovo, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania.

Over the past day, 553 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered. 651 patients recovered. 18 people died, of which the youngest was 55, and the oldest was 90 years old. The total number of currently active cases of COVID-19 in Montenegro is 8, which is 581 cases per 1 thousand inhabitants.

11 857 citizens (almost 2% of the country's population) were vaccinated.

Economic Development Minister Yakov Milatovich said that there is a positive trend in terms of the number of new infections over the past 10 days. The minister also stressed that the goal is to vaccinate up to 400 thousand citizens.
