International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicts GDP growth in Montenegro

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has improved the forecast for the economy of Montenegro. According to his new forecasts, the country's economy should strengthen by 9% in 2021. In October 2020, the IMF forecast gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 5,5 percent.

In a new April issue of the IMF's Global Economic Outlook, which was studied by the agency Mina-business, it is said that in 2022, GDP is expected to grow by 5,5 percent. In the report, IMF experts estimate the growth of the Montenegrin economy in 2026 at three percent. The fall in GDP in 2020 was 15,2 percent.

The IMF predicts GDP growth for this year in other countries of the region. GDP growth in Serbia and Albania is projected at 4,7 percent, Croatia 4,5 percent, Kosovo 3,8 percent, North Macedonia 3,5 percent and Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) XNUMX percent.

The IMF also raised its estimate of global economic growth for this year to six percent from its January forecast of 5,5 percent.
