Montenegro is the most advanced candidate country become a member of the European Union (EU), German Chancellor Angela Merkel said at a working lunch with Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic and leaders of the Western Balkans in Tirana.
On communication press service of the government of Montenegro, the main topic of the meeting was regional cooperation and mechanisms for its improvement.
"In this regard, Chancellor Merkel emphasized that Montenegro is the most developed country - a candidate for membership in the European Union, stressing the importance of the idea of a common regional economic market, which, according to her, can benefit all countries of the Western Balkans," the message says. ...
Krivokapich thanked Chancellor Merkel for the recognition she gave to Montenegro, as well as for the recognition of the reform and the European course of the new government.
