Foreigners bought property in Montenegro for 184 million euros

In the first nine months of this year, foreigners and foreign companies invested in business in Montenegro for a total of 599,86 million euros, which is 93,07 million euros more than in the same period last year, and 63,18 million euros less than in the whole of 2019.

In addition, new preliminary data from the Central Bank of Montenegro show that the outflow of funds from foreign investors amounted to 247,63 million euros, that is, the current net amount of foreign direct investment is 352,23 million euros.

From the beginning of the year to the end of September, 118,6 million euros were invested in companies and banks, intercompany debt - that is, loans received by local companies from parent companies abroad, amounted to 231,23 million euros, and other investments amounted to 65,77 million Euro.

However, special attention should be paid to the trend investment growth in real estate: according to these data, foreigners paid as much as 184,26 million euros for them, which is already the maximum amount at an annual level since 2014.
