Cancellation of COVID-certificates in Montenegro

Cancellation of COVID-certificates in Montenegro

As the epidemiological situation becomes more favorable, the Montenegrin government has decided to further ease the epidemiological measures from Friday, March 11 to March 25, сообщил director of the Institute of Public Health (IJZCG) Igor Galich.

Thus, subject to basic epidemiological measures (wearing a mask is still mandatory), Montenegro cancels the requirement to present COVID-certificates for:

  1. Entry to Montenegro;
  2. Stays in cultural institutions (theaters, cinemas, museums, galleries, etc.);
  3. Stays in public catering facilities (restaurants, cafes, canteens, restaurants at hotels, etc.);
  4. Stays in establishments that organize gambling (bookmakers, casinos, slot machine clubs, etc.);
  5. Staying in sports facilities both outdoors and indoors;
  6. Stays in fitness centers and gyms;
  7. Stay in children's playrooms;
  8. Attending and attending meetings in closed public places (public events, political and private gatherings, celebrations, parties, weddings, and other events).

At the same time, the number of visitors to mass events and other outdoor events increases from 50 to 100 people, and it is also allowed to organize entertainment, sports and recreational events for children and adults in open public places (amusement parks, carousels, group training, skating rinks, etc.). .p.) in the presence of up to 100 people.

The IJZCG emphasizes that visits to patients in hospitals are still prohibited.

“The exception is visits to COVID patients once a week with a negative PCR test result no older than 72 hours,” Galich said, adding that all other measures remain in place.

According to Galich, the number of new patients over the past two weeks has decreased by about 61% compared to the previous two weeks. And the number of deaths in the past two weeks, Galich added, is down by about 64% compared to the previous two weeks.

He points out that over the past two weeks, 90% of the patients who lost the battle against the coronavirus were unvaccinated.

“The Institute of Public Health of Montenegro, as before, will monitor epidemiological situation and propose new measures in accordance with the data received,” Galich said.

In Montenegro, 51 patients with COVID are hospitalized, three are on mechanical ventilation, said Lilyana Radulovic, director of the Clinical Center of Montenegro.

“Due to COVID infection, we are treating 16 patients at the Clinical Center of Montenegro. In our hospital, three patients are on ventilators. In other hospitals in Montenegro, there are no patients who require this type of support. At the moment, 51 patients with COVID are being treated throughout Montenegro,” added Radulovic.
