Montenegro expects in 2022 tourism revenues at the level of pre-Covid years

The Minister of Economic Development of Montenegro, Yakov Milatovic, noted that a full recovery is expected in 2022 tourism and the income level of the pre-Covid years budgeted for 2022.

With moderate optimism, the ministry expects revenues to be 90-100% of what was achieved in the record-breaking 2019. According to him, a successful winter season is the beginning of a full recovery of tourism in Montenegro. RTCG.

“Although one crisis has followed another, we expect with moderate optimism that this year we will achieve revenues that will be 90-100% of the pre-Covid years, which was the record year of 2019. Cooperation between institutions, joint promotion and opening of new markets is our chance,” the minister said at a meeting of the coordinating body for the preparation and monitoring of the tourist season.
