The state sells the largest hotel company Budva Riviera

Next year, the government of Montenegro plans to sell Budva Riviera, the largest hotel group and several small national companies, and to continue the privatization of the Simo Milosevic Institute from Igalo in accordance with the decision of the administrative court.

This is stated in the proposal for the Privatization Plan for 2023, which was adopted by the Privatization and Capital Projects Board last week.

The Privatization and Capital Projects Board, in its third session chaired by Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic, determined a proposal for a decision on the privatization plan for 2023:

“The plan is determined by the main goals of privatization and other aspects of this process, methods and methods of privatization, with established lists of companies and the percentage of equity capital for privatization. The main goal of privatization is to increase the competitiveness and efficiency of the functioning of societies, encourage foreign investment and entrepreneurship in all areas, increase employment and improve living standards,” says in a government announcement.

According to the model of selling shares through the stock exchange, shares of the following companies will be presented: AD “AgroTransport” - Podgorica; AD “Kotor – Project” – Kotor; AD "Metal product" - Podgorica; AD "Montenegroturist" - Budva and "Crnagoracoop" AD - Danilovgrad.
