Montenegro calculated the total inflow of investments and the number of foreign property owners

According to the latest data from the Department of Cadastre and State Property of Montenegro, more than 23 foreigners own real estate in the country. investor.

Total inflow of direct foreign investment (FDI) in the period from January to the end of July this year amounted to 653,47 million euros, which is 44,5% more than in the same period last year, according to preliminary data from the Central Bank of Montenegro.

More than half of all foreign investment is directed to the purchase of real estate. The main buyers are citizens of Serbia and Russia. Rounding out the top five in terms of investments are the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland and Germany.

Investments in real estate amounted to 238,03 million euros, which is even 100,25% more than in the same period in 2021.

Recall that since March 2022, prices for real estate rental have increased significantly in Montenegro, as a large number of citizens from Ukraine, Russia and Belarus have moved to the country.
